Bears on the Square is one of the largest and longest established Teddy Bear shops in the United Kingdom.
Originally started and run by Bernie and Margaret for over 20 years they have taken a well deserved retirement and the business is now run by David Jackson who has been a bear collector for almost as long as Bernie and Margaret ran the shop.
We believe that we have the largest choice of Teddy Bear related merchandise of any British store and our web site has allowed us to offer these items through a worldwide mail order service.
We ONLY sell Teddy bear and golly related items plus a few soft toys and animals!
We offer collectable teddy bears from the worlds leading bear manufacturers. In addition to being a club store for many of these (including Charlie Bears, Deans, Teddy Hermann and Deb Canham).
We are also a Steiff "Gold Button" Store.
We also stock a large selection of limited edition artist bears, including many shop exclusives, together with a vast array of Bear related giftware including items connected with Winnie the Pooh, Paddington and Rupert.

The store has its roots in the former Ironbridge Toy Museum which we opened in June 1989 in a former bank building at the centre of the Ironbridge World heritage site.
Here we sold an array of collectable toys but it soon became clear that Teddy Bears were going to dominate so we quickly became a Steiff Club store and a founder Deans club store.
Just a year after starting our web site in 1996 we took over two adjacent shops in the magnificent 220 year old listed building which was formerly the Market Hall.
This doubled our retail area and so the bears were moved in to these new premises. Needless to say the number of bears stocked increased dramatically in line with space available!
Today, the new owner David has an active role in the day to day running of the business along with our shop manager, Fiona, and an able team of bear lovers.
We pride ourselves in that our many years of experience and extensive stocks mean we can offer the best possible prices linked with an efficient and friendly service.
